Product Applications: Multiple Sizes to Meet Different Bridge Requirements

Rubber pad bearings are a widely used type of bearing in highway bridges. They are primarily used to transfer loads from the bridge superstructure to the substructure, while accommodating the displacement and rotation requirements of the bridge under temperature changes and vehicle loads.

For this project, the company supplied GJZ series rectangular rubber bearings and GYZ series circular rubber bearings, each suited for different bridge types and load conditions. Among these, the GJZF4 and GYZF4 PTFE sliding plate rubber bearings feature a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sliding plate added to the standard rubber bearing design, providing a lower coefficient of friction and better accommodating the bridge’s horizontal displacement requirements.

The combined supply of five product specifications fully met the diverse requirements for bearing capacity, displacement, and rotation across the project’s various bridge structures. The products were manufactured in strict accordance with design requirements and relevant standards, and deliveries were completed in line with the construction schedule, providing a reliable guarantee for the structural safety of the project’s bridges.

The construction contractor for this project is Zhejiang Jiaosui Group Co., Ltd. As a highway construction enterprise, Zhejiang Jiaosui Group Co., Ltd. was tasked with constructing Phase II of the Longwan Yongzhong to Haicheng section of the Dongtou to Lucheng Highway in Wenzhou.
